Scouts 31st August

Hello Units!
 
I hope that you units who came along last weekend had a good time and have gotten' around to unpacking your bags, wait what - ahh that's what the smell is I hear you yell...
 
And if any of the boys happened to unpack a mysteriously un-used toiletry bag with stars on you don't recognise (OK let's be honest you'd barely recognize your own) a certain child of mine would be indifferent to its return, his parents however....
 
This week we had great plans to go spelunking into the dim and distant Scouting past but, with a last-minute cancellation by the Scout Heritage center those dreams are history, pun intended.
 
But not to be undaunted tonight will see the return of the Great 4th Kew Scouts Spit tournament, and for those who don't Spit (we're not all Llama's you yell) please feel free to bring alternative games; board, card or similar (PlayStation's need not apply).
 
Tonight, will also see the unveiling of the award for last week's photography competition. There were some great images (and some puzzling ones) so thank you, and thank you for your enthusiasm last week on our trip to the city...
 
Look forward to seeing you all again tonight; bring them green visor's, croupier rakes and your card counting skills and may lady luck smile on you.

Scout night plan 31st July

Forwarding a message from our master of ceremonies/chaos Emil.    Nice planning Emil! It's got everything: dreams drama, a sense of foreboding, just what we expect...   For the TL;DNR please   We will meet at the IKEA entrance of Vic gardens at 7pm NOT at the hall.    Pick up will be from the HALL at 9pm (unless we all get lost in IKEA).   A good time will be had, we will not bring shame upon our unit.    Oh and please remember to Wear Your Uniform. End of term reminders

Hello to Scout families.     Last night was the last meeting for term 1.    Wishing everyone a safe and Happy Easter, it's been a very short but hectic term.   Reminders to all to please pay for Stradbroke Cup and yearly Scout fees if you haven't already.     Lots of compliments to all our Scouts (last night) as they put their phones aside for the night and didn't use them at all!    We have had a few scouts asking about replacement scarves for various reasons, please have your scout look around to find it.  We are deciding on the best way to do this, so stay tuned!      Next term we will most likely have a camp staying in tents to practice for camping as scout in preparation for Australian Jamboree.
